Adjacent to Nandisvar Hill, are a few ruins of the staircase of Nanda-bhavan. Nanda’s residence here was extensive, with separate bedrooms for everyone including Nanda Baba, Mother Yashoda, Mother Rohini, Krishna and Baldev. It had a kitchen, store-room and dining hall, as well as resting-rooms and other rooms for Radhika and Krishna. Here, Krishna and Baldev performed many of Their childhood and youth pastimes.

Here you can have darshan of complete family of Shri Nand Baba viz. Nand Baba, Yashoda Maiya, Krishna, Balram, Shri Radha Rani, Shri Rohini Mata and two friends of Krishna namely Dhansukh and Mansukh. Balram's deity is also black in like that of Krishna as He wanted to save Krishna from the demons of demonic uncle Kansa by pretending to be Krishna.

Daily, at forenoon, Shri Radha used to come here from Javat with Her sakhis on the zealous and loving requests of Mother Yashoda, with great delight, She would prepare many tasty foodstuffs for Krishna together with Mother Rohini. Krishna used to eat with His sakhas in the adjacent large dining-hall and then rest in the bedroom situated one hundred steps from the dining-hall.

Nandishwar hill is Lord Shiva himself who transformed himself into a hill so that he can get purified by the dust from the lotus feet of his Lordships and gopis.
