Widow Care

Most of the widows experience deprivations and discrimination on a daily basis, not least of which include suffering from severe depression because of isolation and the absence of emotional and social support. Living in oppressive environments, Indian widows come to the holy city of Vrindavan to find peace and lead a devotional life.

Fortunately, there are many devotees who are running widow ashrams to provide better environment, food and shelter to these widows so that they can focus properly on their devotional life. Braj Chetna supports many such NGOs in Mathura – Vrindavan region and continuously organises widow feasts, counselling sessions, embroidery classes and other activities for their joy. Any support in this regard will be a great help to these humble residents of Vrindavan.
